Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager at APackaging Group, located in Azusa, CA. The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Responsibilities include expediting and inspecting materials, managing logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Define the scope of packaging projects, including materials, design, and delivery schedules. Work with suppliers and vendors to select packaging materials and ensure timely delivery. Negotiate contracts and ensure suppliers meet quality standards and delivery deadlines. Collaborate with product development, marketing, design, logistics, and production teams to ensure packaging meets design, functionality, and safety requirements. Ensure that all packaging adheres to internal and external quality and regulatory standards. Conduct regular quality checks on packaging materials and final products. Manage budgets for packaging projects and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality. Oversee cost negotiations and evaluate potential for process improvements. Ensure packaging materials meet local, national, and international regulations (e.g., sustainability standards, recycling, labeling requirements). Focus on eco-friendly and sustainable packaging solutions. Stay informed on the latest packaging innovations and trends to drive continuous improvement. Identify potential risks related to packaging and find mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project life cycle. Liaise with customers and vendors to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Negotiations with customers and/or vendors. Qualifications Expediting and inspection expertise. Strong project management and logistics management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience in the packaging industry is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Local applicants only.
