Concord, CA Full time 2026-000905 Ready to launch your career in Project Controls? Hargrove is looking for a Junior Project Controls Specialist in Concord, CA. Experience with Primavera P6 is highly preferred, along with advanced Excel capabilities and the ability to export, maintain, and analyze project data and reports. We're seeking someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to support project execution and performance tracking.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Job Scope:
  • Generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs and/or estimating projects. Work will be performed under close supervision.
  • Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • + Developing schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues where safety and schedule can potentially be in conflict.

+ Monitoring and updating schedules by obtaining updates through meetings, construction coordination interviews and field verification.

+ Monitoring and maintaining the change notice/change order management system. Assisting in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.

+ Developing estimates for construction projects including but not limited to estimates associated with change notices.

+ Developing and maintaining the cost system including reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices and producing cost reports. Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Hargrove's total compensation package for Teammates. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, skill set and location.

Minimum Salary:

$40.00 per hour

Maximum Salary:

$50.00 per hour

  • Ideal Background
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field is highly preferred.
  • Certification:
  • No certification is required for this position.
  • Experience:
  • This position requires up to 5 years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • + Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices. + Extreme attention to detail. + Primavera P6 strong desired + Advanced MS Excel skills preferred
  • Physical Requirements:
  • + Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
