Job Description
Lead Projects. Protect Our Watershed. Marin Water is seeking a Watershed Project Coordinator to coordinate contractors, field crews, consultants, and volunteers working on watershed maintenance, infrastructure repairs, vegetation management, roads and trails, erosion control, habitat restoration, and fire management projects. This hands-on role combines project coordination, field oversight, natural resource management, and construction management. What You'll Do You'll plan, coordinate, and oversee field projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys coordinating people and projects and working in a challenging outdoor environment. Typical duties may include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate contractors, consultants, District crews, volunteers, and probation crews. Oversee watershed, construction, vegetation, fire, roads and trails, erosion control, and habitat restoration projects. Track project schedules, budgets, and work orders using SAP and other systems. Conduct field surveys, inspections, and natural resource data collection. Use GPS and GIS for project mapping and environmental compliance. Support contract administration, scopes of work, budgets, and procurement. Monitor environmental compliance and best management practices. Provide field direction and technical training. Communicate with stakeholders and watershed users. Prepare project schedules, reports, and documentation. Operate and maintain equipment and perform skilled field work as needed. In addition to the duties listed above, incumbents assigned to this classification may perform other watershed duties as needed.
