We are currently seeking a Solar Specialist & Project Coordinator to step into a key role within our company, taking over for a team member who is retiring. Job Overview In this role, you will coordinate drafting and permitting for solar, generator, and fan installation projects, as well as be the key resource for solar projects. Most, if not all, technical aspects of this position can be acquired through on-the-job training by shadowing the retiring team member.

Key Responsibilities Customer Consultation:

Provide solar consultations to prospective customers, assessing their needs and presenting tailored solutions.

Design & Estimating:

Complete designs and proposals for both residential and commercial solar projects.

Permit Drafting:

Draft plans for building permit submittals covering solar projects, generator installations, and fan installation projects.

Permit Management:

Manage and navigate the permit application process with various building departments across San Diego County.

Project Workflow:

Coordinate project timelines, procurement, permits, and installation schedules to ensure smooth project execution

Customer Support:

Provide ongoing customer service support post-installation to foster long-term relationships and referrals

Qualifications & Experience Solar Expertise:

Understanding the solar landscape is important. Experience in solar design and estimating is useful. Hands-on solar installation experience is also a plus.

Drafting Skills:

Drafting experience and familiarity with computer drafting tools (CAD or other drafting software) is useful (but not required).

Permit Experience:

Willingness to interact with municipal building departments to process and pull permits.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills for consulting with clients and collaborating with internal team members.

Detail-Oriented:

Ability to manage multiple project workflows, timelines, and municipal requirements accurately. This includes following up with clients and team members to keep project statuses up to date. Education Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred, not required. Technical experience involving solar energy products or other energy solutions is highly desirable

Continuing Education:

This role will require certifications specific to brand partners, projects, and tasks. We value proactive individuals who thrive on challenge and are passionate about renewable energy. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
