Project Manager - Trade Show & Custom Exhibits About RCS Custom Exhibits RCS Custom Exhibits is a one-stop shop specializing in the design, engineering, and fabrication of custom trade show booths, brand activations, props, and television scenery. We take client concepts from initial 3D renderings through full custom fabrication and on-site assembly. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee builds from initial handoff through final installation. You will serve as the core hub connecting our creative team, shop fabricators, and clients, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to our exact quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Quality Control:

Review fabrication documentation, enforce strict quality and accuracy standards, and proactively communicate with shop fabricators to keep builds on track.

Timeline Management:

Develop and manage master project schedules, production timelines, and install calendars to guarantee fixed delivery dates.

Sourcing & Purchasing:

Identify and source materials and assets that match client design aesthetics while maintaining budget constraints.

Logistics & Field Operations:

Liaise with freight partners to coordinate shipping schedules, and oversee on-site installation and dismantle (I&D) to ensure flawless execution.

Client & Cross-Team Communication:

Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and sales while seamlessly bridging communication across design and shop teams.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve real-time fabrication conflicts, schedule shifts, and installation challenges on site.

Project Organization:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including 3D models, dimension/elevation packets, schedules, asset trackers, and inventory. Qualifications & Requirements Experience in trade show, exhibit, scenic, or custom fabrication environments preferred. Familiarity with both creative design workflows (renderings, shop drawings) and custom shop fabrication processes. PMP certification is a plus, but practical experience in custom build workflows is prioritized. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In-person in Hawthorne, CA 90250 (Commute required).

Travel & Schedule:

Travel required and periodic weekend work during event installations.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $30.00 / hour (DOE)
