Project Architect / Project Manager Huntington Beach, CA 92649 From $95,000 a year - Full-time From $95,000 a year - Full-time Pacific Rim Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to support a diverse portfolio of educational, public-sector, multifamily housing, and infrastructure-related projects throughout California and across the United States. Our work includes K-12 and community college modernization projects, campus infrastructure improvements, accessibility upgrades, student support facilities, affordable and multifamily housing developments, large-scale facility assessments, and construction management services for public agencies and institutional clients. We are looking for a proactive and technically strong project leader who can confidently manage projects from planning through construction while coordinating clients, consultants, agencies, and internal teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Our project managers play a key role in guiding complex projects, maintaining client confidence, and helping teams successfully navigate technical and scheduling challenges. Responsibilities Manage architectural projects from planning and design through permitting, bidding, and construction administration Lead project schedules, consultant coordination, client communication, and overall project delivery across multiple active assignments Coordinate with school districts, public agencies, developers, contractors, and multidisciplinary consultant teams Oversee preparation and coordination of construction documents utilizing Revit and related production software Support DSA submissions, agency coordination, jurisdictional approvals, and permitting processes as required by project type Participate in construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, site observations, punch lists, and owner meetings Support facility assessment efforts, existing conditions documentation, and campus or portfolio evaluation projects Conduct quality control reviews to ensure technical coordination, constructability, and code compliance Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio environment Assist with proposals, interviews, and ongoing client relationship development Qualifications 7+ years of architectural project experience with demonstrated success managing complex projects Experience in educational, public-sector, affordable housing, multifamily, civic, or institutional projects preferred Strong knowledge of construction documentation, consultant coordination, and project delivery processes Experience with DSA projects, public agency coordination, facility assessments, or construction administration preferred Proficiency in Revit or ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment California architect license preferred, or actively pursuing licensure Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, civil, technology, accessibility, and specialty consultants What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who is collaborative, dependable, and solutions-oriented — a professional who can balance technical execution with client leadership and team coordination.
