  • Full-time Position Summary This dual-role position supports both estimating and project management functions for architectural façade projects.
The Estimator is responsible for assisting with cost estimates for bid proposals, contract amendments, change orders, and other project-related expenses. This role also supports daily operations including project lead tracking, compliance review of contract documents, and communication with clients. In the Project Manager capacity, the role involves preparing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, as well as supporting project execution. Responsibilities include assembling submittals and creating detailed AutoCAD drawings, including plans, details, and assemblies based on sketches and physical samples. A minimum of three years of AutoCAD experience is preferred; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate cost proposals, estimates, and project scheduling. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules Prepare and issue change order estimates for internal review and approval Perform material takeoffs and cost analyses for project proposals Interpret and review contract documents, including plans, specifications, and related materials Identify discrepancies between project specifications and standard product specifications Coordinate bid schedules, deadlines, and project timelines across teams Maintain organized records for bids, revisions, and project changes Collaborate daily with sales, drafting, and production teams Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of estimating and scheduling experience in construction-related projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents Experience with material takeoffs, project costing, and inventory tracking is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Requirements Ability to visit job sites as needed Capable of visualizing 3D structures from 2D drawings Comfortable working in both office and industrial environments Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with occasional site visits May be exposed to manufacturing environments, including dust and moderate noise levels Ability to move around job sites, lift materials for inspection, and climb scaffolding if required
