Description:
The Workplace Experience Construction Manager is responsible for leading strategic planning, execution, and delivery of workplace construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across a dynamic global corporate portfolio. This role serves as the primary project leader for workplace buildouts, tenant improvements, office renovations, lab projects, and site enhancements while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. The ideal candidate brings 10-12 years of commercial construction project management experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Project Management Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end management of workplace construction and renovation projects from concept through occupancy. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource planning. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles. Oversee tenant improvements (TI), office renovations, workplace modernization initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and corporate standards. Strategic planning of office and labs, Rancho Cordova / Sacramento / San Jose as well as Longmont CO. CW will be bases in SAC. Manage contractor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and project execution. Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve project issues proactively. Track project budgets, approve invoices, manage change orders, and provide financial reporting. Partner with Facilities, IT, Security, EHS, HR, and business leaders to ensure successful project delivery. Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, status reports, and executive presentations. Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranty management, and lessons learned. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, standards, and workplace delivery practices. Managing / overseeing bid process Managing general contractors - CW manages general contractors, keeping track of deadlines Individual contributor - responsible for their own project / workload Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field. 10-12 years of commercial construction project management experience. Demonstrated experience managing workplace, corporate office, lab, or industrial construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets ranging from small improvements to large capital investments. Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, ADA requirements, and workplace safety standards. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Preferred Qualifications PMP, CCM, LEED, or related professional certification. Experience working within technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or corporate campus environments. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, MS Project, Box or similar project management tools. Experience with workplace strategy, occupancy planning, and team member experience initiatives.
