While the specific responsibilities may vary depending on the organization and project, the general duties of a Residential Project Coordinator include:
Project Planning and Documentation:
Assisting in the development of project plans, including defining project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. This involves creating and maintaining project documentation, such as project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Served as a point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. The Project Coordinator facilitates communication, relays information, and coordinates meetings or site visits as necessary.
Procurement and Material Management:
Assisting with procurement activities by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries of materials and equipment. The Coordinator may also manage inventory and ensure that materials are available when needed.
Budget Tracking and Expense Management:
Monitoring project budgets and tracking expenses to ensure they align with the approved project plan. The Coordinator assists in documenting project costs, processing invoices, and coordinating with the finance department.
Document Control and Filing:
Managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other relevant paperwork. This involves organizing and maintaining project files, both in physical and electronic formats, to ensure easy access and retrieval.

When necessary, escalate concerns to appropriate internal teams or supervisors to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction. Overall, a Residential Project Coordinator is crucial in supporting the Management Team by handling various administrative, coordination, and organizational tasks. Their assistance helps ensure the smooth and efficient execution of residential construction projects.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in residential construction, with a focus on project management. High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment. Solid understanding of local, state, and federal building code regulations. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, construction crew members, and suppliers. Proficiency in project management software and standard office software, like Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to navigate construction site environments and conduct physical inspections, including climbing ladders or stairs, lifting, and moving objects, etc. Valid driver's license for regular site visits.
