Job Overview Senior Project Manager - Commercial Electrical Contractor Job Summary The Senior Project Manager oversees and manages large-scale commercial electrical projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of electrical contracting, project management expertise, and effective client communication skills. The goal is to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage commercial electrical projects including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement. Lead project teams, including subcontractors and on-site electrical crews, ensuring productivity and safety compliance. Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and approve invoices and change orders. Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations, progress, and any issues are clearly understood and addressed. Conduct risk management to mitigate potential delays, cost overruns, or safety concerns. Oversee quality control to ensure all work meets company standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and other project documentation. Collaborate with the sales and estimating teams on project bidding and scope definition. Mentor and support junior project managers and field staff. Ensure all projects comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Required Qualifications Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in electrical construction project management, preferably with commercial projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commercial building codes, and industry regulations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
