The Project Controls Manager increases project predictability and adherence to established Project Operational Standards through independent project-performance validation, project audits, project health reviews, and early identification of project risk. The primary mission is to identify leading indicators of forecast deterioration, project fade, labor or schedule risk, and commercial/contract exposure early enough for the Vice President of Operations and project leadership to act before those conditions are reflected in formal cost-to-complete (CTC) forecasts. Operations retains ownership of project execution, project forecasts, recovery actions, customer relationships, staffing, and financial results. Project Controls independently monitors, validates, audits, and advises; it does not manage projects or direct day-to-day project work. Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks- Project Controls Standards and Audits Monitor and validate compliance with established Project Operational Standards and required project controls.

General and Admin Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
7+ years of experience in electrical construction, specialty contracting, construction project management, operations, or project controls. Strong understanding of project financial management, CTC forecasting, control budgets, labor productivity, physical progress, manpower planning, and construction scheduling. Strong knowledge of commercial change management, project documentation, contractual notices, procurement, and project risk. Ability to interpret construction contracts, schedules, project reports, and financial information and recognize unsupported assumptions or emerging risk. Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills with the ability to work constructively with Operations and cross-functional partners. Experience with ERP/project-management, scheduling, BIM/VDC, and business-intelligence platforms preferred. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred. Demonstrated credibility, independence, collaboration, analytical thinking, and accountability in working with project and operational leaders.Physical Requirements:
Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information. Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information. Required to sit at a desk work station for long periods of time. Push, pull, lift, carry at least 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 35 pounds. Occasionally required to walk and stand for short and long periods of time. Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof-read documents to identify errors.
