PROJECT MANAGER
Location:
Simi Valley, CA Overview Our client, a leading provider in the disaster restoration industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial restoration projects in the Simi Valley area. This role is responsible for managing projects related to fire, water, mold, and other property losses—from initial assessment through final completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, field-oriented, and capable of leading teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients, adjusters, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of restoration projects, including scoping, estimating, execution, and closeout Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, and timelines Oversee field operations, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and efficiency Monitor job costs, track profitability, and maintain financial controls Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure client satisfaction Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including estimates, change orders, and progress reports Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours situations Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience in restoration, construction, or a related field Strong knowledge of water, fire, and mold restoration processes preferred Experience working with insurance claims and adjusters Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Xactimate or similar) is highly desirable Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites Preferred Experience IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, ASD, FSRT) Background in emergency response or disaster recovery Experience managing both residential and commercial projects What Success Looks Like Projects delivered on time, within scope, and within budget High levels of client and adjuster satisfaction Strong financial performance across managed projects Effective leadership of field teams and subcontractors Why Join This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of impactful projects that help clients recover from unexpected losses.
