Job Description

Central Valley Hardware is a growing leader in commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware—and we're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Projects Team. This role is designed for someone ready to step into project leadership . You'll work side-by-side with Senior Project Managers, gain hands-on experience running commercial construction projects, and build the skills needed to advance into a Project Manager role . What You'll Do As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping projects on track—from kickoff to completion. Project Coordination & Execution Manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders Coordinate material ordering, tracking, and on-time delivery to jobsites Oversee logistics between warehouse operations and field teams Ensure materials are properly labeled, staged, and delivered accurately Communication & Team Collaboration Act as a central point of communication between clients, field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders Support Senior Project Managers in day-to-day project execution Build strong relationships with clients and project partners Participate in project meetings and assist with cost reviews and change orders Problem Solving & Project Support Identify and help resolve project issues before they escalate Assist with project scheduling and coordination with superintendents Partner with estimators on vendor selection and cost considerations Documentation & Organization Maintain project logs, delivery records, and documentation Ensure all project information is accurate, organized, and up to date What We're Looking For Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred) Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Experience with construction scheduling, logistics, or coordination is a plus Why Join Central Valley Hardware?
