$125,000 - $145,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coordinating, and overseeing various construction projects from conception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of construction management, cost control, budgeting, contract management, negotiation, scheduling, planning, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in managing complex construction projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects from inception to completion. 2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure project specifications and timelines are met. 3. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring cost control and adherence to timelines. 4. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project progression. 5. Implement and oversee comprehensive project plans, identifying potential obstacles and devising contingency plans to mitigate risks. 6. Monitor project progress regularly, providing updates to senior management and stakeholders. 7. Ensure compliance with construction safety regulations and quality standards. 8. Collaborate with the project team to troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues. 9. Conduct post-project evaluation, identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve future project delivery.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management or a similar role. 3. Proven experience in construction management, cost control, budgeting, contract management, negotiation, scheduling, planning, and problem-solving. 4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. 5. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. 7. Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite. 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 9. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. 10. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. 11. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and high standards.
