The Opportunity:

Join a well-established company in the construction industry delivering complex electrical infrastructure and public works projects. This opportunity offers a seasoned Project Manager the chance to oversee projects from planning through completion, partnering with field teams, customers, estimators, and project engineers to deliver work safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Based onsite in West Sacramento, you will play a key role in projects involving traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, underground electrical infrastructure, roadway lighting, and EV charging stations.

Responsibilities:

Thoroughly understand project scope, objectives, resources, and delivery requirements. Develop and manage detailed project schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource plans. Track project costs and performance to ensure projects remain within budget and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide consistent updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding strategy, progress, adjustments, and potential risks. Coordinate daily with the General Foreman, foremen, project engineers, customers, and field teams. Prepare monthly billings with field leadership and customers for submission to accounting. Identify work outside the original scope and prepare change orders to capture associated costs and revenue. Attend jobsite meetings, monitor progress, resolve issues, and make timely project adjustments.

Must-Have Skills:

2-4 years of project management or related construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience managing projects through the full life cycle according to defined scope, budget, and timeline. Experience managing projects for both general contractors and subcontractors. Strong knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and industry best practices. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and time-management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. Valid state driver's license and ability to drive to jobsites. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks while performing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field. Experience with Caltrans and California State public works projects. Knowledge of traffic control and low-voltage electrical projects. Experience with traffic signal, ITS, underground electrical, roadway lighting, or EV charging station construction. Experience preparing project billings, cost reports, schedules, and change orders. Strong supervisory and leadership experience in construction environments. Familiarity with construction project management software and scheduling tools.
