They are seeking Assistant Project Managers at various experience levels to support their growing operations across commercial and industrial markets. This is a strong long-term opportunity for someone with experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or process piping construction who wants broader project exposure and a clear pathway into a Project Manager position. Key Responsibilities Support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout across HVAC, plumbing, mechanical piping, and process piping scopes Work on commercial and industrial projects including tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and design-build work Assist with project scope development, schedules, budgets, and overall project planning Coordinate HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, piping, materials, and subcontractor activities Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement logs, and project documentation Assist with equipment and material procurement, including long-lead items Coordinate internal project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers Review mechanical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and project requirements Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, proposals, and change order pricing Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, coordination issues, and project risks Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams to support successful installation and execution Participate in client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings Support project startup, commissioning, punch lists, turnover, and final closeout Qualifications 3+ years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or process piping construction Experience supporting commercial and/or industrial mechanical projects Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, mechanical piping, and/or process piping Experience with tenant improvement, ground-up, or design-build construction preferred Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and project documentation Ability to read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and piping drawings and specifications Understanding of construction sequencing, equipment installation, and field coordination Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required Preferred Experience Commercial HVAC construction Commercial plumbing Process piping and mechanical piping Industrial mechanical systems Tenant improvement projects Ground-up commercial construction Design-build / design-assist delivery Equipment procurement and startup/commissioning Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Bonus structure tied to individual and company performance Medical, dental, and vision benefits with multiple plan options 401(k) with company match Car allowance or company vehicle depending on experience level Paid holidays and PTO Ongoing mentorship from senior leadership Clear career path from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager
