FF&E Design & Project Manager Senior By Design Boulder, CO Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $100,000 a year 13 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Happy hour Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Canva Full Job Description Senior By Design is a commercial interior design, procurement, and installation firm serving senior living and multifamily communities across the country. We are seeking a hands-on design leader to manage remodels, capital improvement projects, model environments, and individual furniture requests from the first client conversation through installation and final follow-up. This role is for someone who can make thoughtful furniture and fabric selections quickly, lead a team, keep many projects moving at once, and give clients clear, timely answers. Projects range from a single-room refresh to substantial building remodels. You will personally produce design work while directing and reviewing the work of others. What you'll do Lead FF&E and remodel projects through site assessment, scope, budget, design, client approval, purchasing, installation, and closeout. Select and specify furniture, fabrics, artwork, lighting, accessories, and interior finishes. Develop practical, attractive solutions that meet each client's budget, durability needs, and schedule. Create polished client presentations and design boards in Canva; confidently present selections, explain recommendations, and respond to feedback. Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact. Document decisions, follow up on approvals, communicate realistic timelines, and raise problems early with proposed solutions. Prepare or coordinate furniture layouts, specifications, quantities, quotes, proposals, and supporting drawing work. Work with technical designers when a project needs more detailed documentation. Lead supporting team members by setting priorities, assigning work, reviewing quality, and confirming that commitments are completed. Maintain accurate schedules, assignments, budgets, approvals, and next steps in Smartsheet and Monograph. Use those systems to give leadership and the project team a reliable view of every active job. Coordinate closely with our FF&E, purchasing, warehouse, and installation teams. Consider suitable inventory, product availability, lead times, and project margins when making selections. Travel to client communities for site visits, presentations, and installations. Oversee final placement, staging, punch lists, and client follow-up as needed. What we're looking for Significant experience in commercial interior design and FF&E, including direct responsibility for selections, specifications, presentations, and project delivery. Approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience is preferred. Proven ability to lead people and manage several projects with different budgets and deadlines at the same time. Excellent furniture and fabric judgment, including the ability to make sound selections promptly and adapt when budgets or lead times change. Strong organization, follow-through, written communication, and client presentation skills. Experience with Smartsheet and Monograph, or the ability to become proficient in both quickly. Proficiency in Canva is required. Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, or similar tools for furniture plans and basic remodel documentation. Experience in senior living, multifamily, hospitality, or another commercial interiors setting is preferred. A degree in interior design or a related field is preferred. This is an office-based position in Boulder with travel to project sites. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k). To apply, submit a résumé and examples of FF&E selections or client presentations through
