[Base salary range] + [on-call/production bonus], plus [benefits] Position Summary The Restoration Project Manager is the company's primary onsite leader on water, fire, and mold projects. This person is the first responder to emergency service calls, the field authority once work begins, and the person accountable for the quality and documentation of every job from first contact through completion. This role is a fit for someone who can run a job independently, hold a crew to a standard, and communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters — often on the same day, often under pressure. This is a hands-on field position, not a desk job. Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Response Respond to emergency service calls during business hours and on assigned on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays Arrive onsite within the company's target response window and take control of the loss scene Perform initial assessment: identify the source, category, and class of loss; determine affected materials and safety hazards Set immediate mitigation priorities — water extraction, containment, source control, board-up, or stabilization Communicate scope, expectations, and next steps to the customer at first contact Onsite Project Management Serve as the onsite manager and single point of accountability for each assigned project Develop the scope of work and drying or remediation plan for each job Determine equipment needs and confirm correct placement, quantity, and operation of extraction, drying, air filtration, and containment equipment Return to active jobs daily to monitor progress, record readings, adjust equipment, and confirm work is on track Manage project timelines and keep customers informed of status and changes Identify and communicate scope changes, hidden damage, and out-of-scope conditions as they are discovered Coordinate with subcontractors and trades where reconstruction or specialty work is required Crew and Temporary Labor Coordination Determine daily labor needs by job and schedule temporary workers accordingly Provide onsite direction, task assignment, and safety orientation to temporary workers who may have no prior restoration experience Train temporary labor on required procedures and PPE use for the specific job conditions Supervise work in progress, correct technique in real time, and inspect completed work before releasing the crew Track hours worked and report labor use accurately for job costing Quality Control and IICRC Compliance Ensure all work meets or exceeds current IICRC standards, including: S500 — Professional Water Damage Restoration S520 — Professional Mold Remediation S700 — Professional Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Apply proper category and class determinations and follow the corresponding required procedures Build and verify containment, negative pressure, and engineering controls to standard Record moisture readings, temperature, relative humidity, and psychrometric data daily and adjust drying strategy based on the data Verify drying goals and clearance criteria are met before demobilizing equipment Perform final quality control inspection on every project and correct deficiencies before the job is closed out Confirm safety, PPE, and regulatory compliance on all sites Documentation Complete thorough job documentation: photos, sketches, moisture logs, daily activity records, and authorization forms Capture pre-existing conditions and before/during/after photo documentation sufficient to support the claim Provide the documentation needed to support estimating and supplement requests Communicate with adjusters and third-party administrators on job scope, progress, and justification for the work performed Maintain accurate, timely records in the company's job management system Customer Experience Set clear expectations with homeowners and property managers and follow through on them Explain the mitigation process in plain language to customers who are often dealing with a loss for the first time Handle concerns and complaints professionally onsite and escalate appropriately Represent the company's reputation in every interaction — customers, referral partners, and adjusters included Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in water, fire, or mold restoration
IICRC WRT
certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire); ASD, AMRT, and FSRT preferred Working knowledge of psychrometry, drying science, and mold remediation protocols Demonstrated ability to lead a crew and manage a job independently Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with insurance professionals Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable with mobile documentation apps, photo documentation, and moisture meters/thermal imaging Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Preferred Qualifications Xactimate experience or exposure to insurance claim estimating Prior experience coordinating temporary or day labor Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience with contents handling, pack-outs, or reconstruction coordination OSHA 10/30, respirator fit test, or lead RRP certification Physical Requirements and Work Conditions Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly and move equipment up and down stairs Ability to work in crawlspaces, attics, and confined or unconditioned spaces Ability to work in wet, hot, humid, dusty, or smoke-damaged environments while wearing PPE, including a respirator Extended periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders Frequent local travel between job sites throughout the service area On-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays What Success Looks Like in This Role Emergency calls are answered and responded to within target time, every time Jobs dry on schedule with documentation that stands up to adjuster review No callbacks for workmanship or missed damage Temporary crews arrive, know what to do, and work safely Customers would refer the company to a neighbor
