Role Description Ferguson Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with strong HVAC and Plumbing field and management experience to join our growing team in Plainville, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven background managing commercial, industrial, and institutional mechanical construction projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships and financial performance. Responsibilities Manage 1-3 concurrent mechanical construction projects ranging from $50K to $5M Oversee all phases of project execution from pre-construction through closeout Review and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents Coordinate project procurement and material purchasing Prepare and manage change orders using MCAA pricing standards Negotiate and manage COPs (Cost of Proposals/Change Order Proposals) Administer contracts and ensure compliance with project requirements Develop and maintain CPM schedules Monitor project budgets, job costs, and financial performance Manage purchase order administration and subcontractor coordination Maintain strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships Coordinate closely with field personnel to ensure project success Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the mechanical construction industry Strong HVAC and Plumbing field knowledge required Experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional construction markets Working knowledge of MCAA labor units and change order pricing Strong understanding of project financials and job cost reporting Experience with CPM scheduling and contract administration Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software preferred Benefits Industry-leading benefits package effective on date of hire include: Health, dental, and vision insurance with the option to add family coverage 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match Short-term disability coverage Long-term disability coverage Life insurance Paid time off and 9 paid holidays AA/EOE, M/F
