Job Description

Awning Works Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager to join our team in Clearwater, FL. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects within our active pipeline and ensuring they progress efficiently from planning through completion. This Is Not A Remote Position The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial construction project management experience and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating schedules, documentation, permitting, fabrication, and installation teams. Our projects involve the manufacturing and installation of custom awnings, shade systems, and exterior sun control structures for commercial and residential properties , requiring strong coordination between fabrication, permitting, and installation teams. Who Thrives in This Role This role is well suited for a highly organized Project Manager who is comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously. Successful candidates are proactive problem-solvers who anticipate issues, maintain organized schedules and documentation, and effectively coordinate between fabrication, permitting, and installation teams to keep projects moving forward. Key Responsibilities Oversee projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring timelines, documentation, and coordination remain on track Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting Coordinate project timelines and activities with internal teams, fabrication, and installation crews to maintain progress Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents Maintain project trackers, schedules, and reporting using Excel and construction management tools such as Smartsheet Prepare and distribute project schedules and reports Coordinate communication between internal teams, field crews, clients, and project stakeholders Maintain accurate project documentation and records Manage a high volume of projects simultaneously (30+ projects in various stages) Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope Assist with permitting processes Required Qualifications 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred (2+ years considered for strong candidates) Experience independently managing commercial construction projects from planning through completion In Office Position 2+ years of budgeting and scheduling experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting (required) Experience with Smartsheet is a plus 1+ year of Microsoft Outlook / Calendar experience Experience working with specialty construction trades, exterior systems, architectural metals, or similar fabrication/installation projects is a plus Ability to type 40+ WPM Strong organizational and leadership skills Reliable transportation Valid driver's license High School Diploma or GED (minimum)

From $28.00 per hour
