$70,000 - $90,000 + Growth Path to Project Manager SUMMARY We are a 50+ year commercial HVAC contractor entering a strategic growth phase. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 2-5 years of construction experience who wants to grow into a full Project Manager role. This Assistant Project Manager position will work directly alongside senior Project Managers (PMs) and ownership, supporting active commercial HVAC projects while developing the skills required to independently manage projects in the future. This role is designed to develop into a full Project Manager position within 12-24 months for high performers. The Assistant Project Manager will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibilities over time, making it a long-term growth opportunity, not just a job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Senior Project Managers on 5-15 active commercial HVAC projects as the Assistant Project Manager. Assist with scheduling, coordination, and general contractor (GC) communication in the Assistant Project Manager role. Manage submittals and track shop drawings for active projects under the guidance of the senior PM. Assist with procurement and vendor coordination as an Assistant Project Manager. Monitor budgets, cost tracking, and change orders to help protect project margins. Track labor productivity and material costs as part of your duties as the Assistant Project Manager. Assist in reviewing HVAC scopes, including ductwork, chilled water piping, DX systems, and equipment submittals. Support coordination with mechanical subcontractors and field technicians. Participate in project meetings and site visits, gaining insight as the Assistant Project Manager. Support estimating and bid preparation when needed. Help drive projects toward on-time and under-budget completion. Take on increasing responsibility over time based on performance and development, advancing to a full Project Manager position.

REQUIREMENTS 2-5

years construction or trade experience (HVAC preferred). Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Understanding of ductwork, piping, and basic MEP systems. Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Strong communication skills. Tech-capable and able to learn platforms such as ProCore.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
