Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager This is an in-office position. Candidate must be detail-oriented, a problem solver by nature. Will be responsible for assisting Project Managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure costs, schedule, document control and quality standards are met. Under the direction of the Project Managers, the Assistant Project Manager is expected to take on any/all tasks related to construction projects.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Project Managers in all aspects of the project to include: Manage administrative project aspects including project plans, proposals and project documents/contracts Maintain project schedule Obtain permits required for assigned projects Assist with vendor pre-qualification process, bid package preparation and distribution Financial management including tracking project progress for compilation into owner pay estimates Subcontract management Management of change orders Sourcing and obtaining materials as needed Ensuring safety compliance and documentation Schedule and attend biweekly project meetings Attend and record minutes for owner/project managers/client meeetings Photo documentation of the project Communication with Owners, Superintendent and field employees
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years experience working in commercial construction Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to details General understanding of construction terms and processes General understanding of accounting principals Strong work ethic, multi-tasking, team player with a WIT (whatever it takes) mentality Ability to effectively and confidently communicate with clients, sub-contractors, managers and co-workers. Prioritize, plan, and to use time efficiently to meet deadlines. Identify and resolve problems Experience working with Microsoft Office and ProCore. Quickbooks and Bluebeam software experience is preferred.
Other requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent certification Must be willing to take a drug test and consent to background check
