JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to oversee the successful planning, coordination, and execution of flooring projects. This individual ensures that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with technical knowledge of flooring materials.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, schedule, and manage all aspects of flooring projects from start to finish.
  • Review project requirements, drawings, documents, bulletins, and submittals upon receiving job folders.
  • Confirm protection materials and purchases with Sales Associates.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, including transitions and edgings, are delivered and meet job specifications (correct size, color, and quantity).
  • Conduct regular job site inspections to assess quality and identify any issues with installation or safety.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, internal teams, and vendors.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings to update teams on job progress and challenges.
  • Identify and resolve issues or inaccuracies in installation to maintain project profitability and quality.
  • Process and track change orders and ensure timely documentation and communication.
  • Manage all project-related documentation, including contracts, checklists, change orders, and closeout materials.
  • Participate in accrual meetings and contribute to budget forecasts and adjustments.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Quality & Productivity Manager to uphold installation standards and improve operational efficiency.
  • Track and ensure attic stock requirements are met and properly documented.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Must have soft and hard surface experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing commercial flooring projects.
  • Strong knowledge of flooring products and installation processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and contracts.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and ensure profitability across multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management platforms.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and FileMaker is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire and drive to improve processes and contribute to the success of the division.
