The Opportunity This position works out of our Lake Mary location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World's greatest healthcare challenges. We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven PMO Manager to lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of strategic initiatives across our DME and IDTF businesses. This leader will oversee a small team of Project Managers responsible for driving cross-functional projects that improve operational performance, support business growth, enhance the patient and provider experience, strengthen compliance, and enable organizational transformation. The PMO Manager will partner closely with Commercial, Operations, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, Finance, and Information Technology leadership to ensure critical initiatives are prioritized, properly resourced, executed on schedule, and aligned with organizational objectives. This role will establish project management standards, governance frameworks, portfolio management processes, and reporting structures that provide transparency and accountability across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities PMO Leadership & Governance Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering strategic and operational initiatives across the organization. Establish and maintain PMO standards, methodologies, tools, governance processes, and project management best practices. Create consistency in project planning, documentation, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Develop and manage project prioritization frameworks aligned to organizational strategy and business objectives. Ensure project execution adheres to scope, timeline, budget, resource, and quality expectations. Project Portfolio Management Oversee a portfolio of projects spanning commercial operations, revenue cycle, intake, patient services, reimbursement, compliance, technology, and business transformation. Partner with executive leadership to evaluate, prioritize, and sequence initiatives based on strategic value and organizational capacity. Monitor project health across the portfolio and proactively address resource constraints, dependencies, risks, and escalation issues. Provide visibility into portfolio performance through executive dashboards, milestone tracking, and leadership reporting. Strategic Program Delivery Lead complex cross-functional programs and enterprise initiatives from initiation through implementation and post-launch stabilization. Facilitate project charter development, business case validation, project planning, and execution management. Ensure project deliverables meet defined business objectives and generate measurable operational and financial outcomes. Coordinate efforts across multiple departments to maintain alignment and accountability throughout project lifecycles. Organizational Change Management Drive project-related change management activities to facilitate successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models. Develop communication, stakeholder engagement, training, and readiness plans to support implementation success. Identify organizational impacts and mitigation strategies to reduce disruption and improve adoption. Partner with business leaders to ensure sustainable project outcomes and long-term benefit realization. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Establish project performance metrics, portfolio dashboards, and executive reporting mechanisms. Track project milestones, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits realization. Deliver regular updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Utilize project data and lessons learned to continuously improve PMO effectiveness and delivery performance.
DME & IDTF
Business Transformation Support Support initiatives related to patient onboarding, intake optimization, reimbursement operations, payer programs, accreditation, compliance, technology implementations, and operational scalability. Partner with Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure projects align with CMS, Medicare, state, payer, and accreditation requirements. Assist business leaders in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient experience, and financial performance through structured project execution. Ensure transformation initiatives are implemented with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a trusted partner to Commercial, Operations, Revenue Cycle, Finance, IT, Compliance, and Clinical leadership teams. Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities and resource demands. Present project updates, risks, recommendations, and business impacts to senior leadership. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and execution excellence across the organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or related field, or 10+ years of related experience 5+ years of progressive project or program management experience. 2+ years of people leadership experience managing project managers, program managers, or cross-functional teams. Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within healthcare services, DME, IDTF, revenue cycle, managed care, or related healthcare environments. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and portfolio management practices. Demonstrated success delivering strategic initiatives on time and within scope while managing competing priorities. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive presentation skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and other project management and reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification. Experience supporting DMEPOS, IDTF, Medicare, Medicaid, Revenue Cycle, or healthcare operations organizations. Knowledge of healthcare compliance, accreditation standards, reimbursement processes, and payer environments. Experience leading enterprise technology implementations, workflow automation, CRM, ERP, or patient management system projects. Proven ability to establish or scale a Project Management Office within a growing healthcare organization. Physical Requirements Ability to attend job-related courses, training sessions, and seminars as required. Ability to travel up to 15% for project meetings, stakeholder engagement, implementation support, and team development activities. Ability to use office equipment and technology relevant to job functions.
