This position manages the permitting process from initial receipt of a project assignment through permit issuance and final closeout. The Permitting Coordinator serves as the company's primary liaison with county and municipal building departments and is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all permit submittals. The position reports to the Project Coordinator, with oversight from the General Manager of the Residential Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and submit permit applications through county and municipal permitting portals in Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties and their incorporated jurisdictions. Review executed contracts and estimate detail to verify the scope of work prior to submittal, including roofing system type, underlayment specification, tile profile, and ancillary items such as solar attic fans and skylights, ensuring the permit application accurately reflects the contracted scope. Compile complete submittal packages, including Florida Product Approvals and Miami-Dade Notices of Acceptance, engineering documentation, HOA approvals, notarized forms, and Notices of Commencement where statutorily required. Monitor the status of all open permits on a daily basis and maintain the permitting board so that current status is visible to production, sales, and management personnel. Escalate any permit application open in excess of fourteen (14) days to the Project Coordinator and General Manager, accompanied by documentation of the cause of delay and a proposed resolution. Respond to plan review comments and application rejections by identifying the required correction, obtaining supporting documentation, and resubmitting without avoidable delay. Maintain permit records, inspection documentation, and closeout files in accordance with company record retention standards. Attend weekly production meetings and provide status reporting on the permitting pipeline. Required Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience in construction permitting, or equivalent administrative experience within a licensed trade involving municipal submittals. Demonstrated proficiency navigating county and municipal permitting portals. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation. Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct sustained follow-up with building department staff Proven organizational capacity to manage a high volume of concurrent applications without loss of accuracy or oversight. Proficiency with standard office software and digital recordkeeping systems. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Florida roofing permits and working knowledge of the Florida Building Code. Familiarity with High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) requirements applicable in Broward County and the distinctions from wind-borne debris region requirements in surrounding counties. Experience with Job Nimbus, or comparable CRM. Benefits

•All benefits become effective upon successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.

Paid Time Off:

up to 40 hours in the first year of employment, up to 80 hours in the second year, and up to 120 hours annually beginning in the third year, at which point accrual caps. Paid federal holidays. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan with company match of up to 3%.

Compensation and Schedule Compensation:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, full-time. Start time is flexible — either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
