Full-time, onsite Reports to: Project / Program Manager The company is developing and deploying autonomous vehicle technology for real-world environments, working with customers to deliver safe, reliable and scalable autonomous mobility solutions. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join the team and play a key role in coordinating customer projects from initial requirements through to deployment and ongoing delivery. This is a highly customer-facing position , suited to someone who is organised, technically curious, commercially aware and confident communicating with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams. The Role As Junior Project Manager, you will support the delivery of autonomous vehicle / robotics projects, coordinating activities across engineering, operations, suppliers and customers. You will become an important point of contact for customers, ensuring requirements are understood, actions are followed through and projects remain on track. The role would suit someone early in their project management career who wants to develop within a fast-moving technology environment and gain exposure to autonomous vehicles, robotics, software, hardware and complex customer deployments . Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management Support the planning and delivery of customer projects from kick-off through to deployment. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, action trackers and project documentation. Coordinate activities across engineering, software, operations, suppliers and other stakeholders. Track project milestones, dependencies, risks and issues. Organise project meetings and ensure actions are clearly captured and followed through. Escalate risks, delays and issues appropriately to senior project management. Help ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and within agreed scope. Customer Management Act as a day-to-day contact for customers on assigned projects. Build strong and professional relationships with customer stakeholders. Understand customer requirements and ensure these are communicated clearly to internal teams. Provide customers with regular project updates, progress reports and action summaries. Coordinate customer meetings, demonstrations, testing and deployment activities. Manage customer questions and ensure responses are obtained from the appropriate internal teams. Develop an understanding of customer priorities and identify potential issues before they become problems. Represent COAST professionally throughout the customer journey. Technical & Delivery Coordination Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, project constraints and delivery timelines. Support requirements capture and documentation. Coordinate hardware, software, vehicle and site-related activities. Assist with testing, commissioning and customer acceptance activities. Help coordinate site visits, trials and deployments. Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information is communicated to the relevant stakeholders. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve project processes, communication and documentation. Capture lessons learned from deployments and customer projects. Help develop repeatable processes as COAST scales its autonomous vehicle deployments. Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. About You We are looking for someone with 1-3 years' experience in project coordination, project management, engineering delivery, operations or a similar environment.
You will ideally have:
Experience working in a project-based environment. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence communicating directly with customers. The ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously. A structured and proactive approach to problem solving. Strong attention to detail. The ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Good Microsoft Office / Google Workspace skills and familiarity with project management tools. A willingness to get involved and take ownership rather than simply manage tasks from a distance. Desirable Experience Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Autonomous vehicles or robotics. Automotive or mobility technology. Software or technology projects. Hardware development or deployment. Systems integration. Engineering project management. Customer implementations or technical account management. Field deployments, commissioning or testing. Working with international customers or distributed project teams. A formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent would be useful but is not essential.
