Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager to lead innovative interior design projects from concept to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape inspiring commercial and residential interiors, manage design and construction project teams, and grow in your career. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creative design, strong project management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of building codes, construction documentation, and cutting-edge CAD and 3D modeling software. Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of commercial & residential interior design projects, including initial concept development, space planning, material/FF&E selection, and final execution. Manage junior designers, project timelines and budgets effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs. Develop detailed I.D. Sets and construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and construction details using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other CAD software. Create compelling 3D models and renderings with tools such as 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize design concepts for clients. Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs are compliant with local regulations and safety standards. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals confidently through CAD presentations and graphic design software. Coordinate with contractors and vendors during construction phases to oversee quality, resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to budget, construction project schedule, and design intent. Source furniture, lighting, home and commercial equipment, and direct the procurement of FF&E while providing clear documentation of same to clients and vendors Prepare documentation that clearly communicates technical specifications for builders and fabricators. Supervise junior design and project management team to ensure client satisfaction and profitable studio operations. Maintain clear communication channels with clients throughout the project lifecycle to foster trust and satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in managing interior design projects from inception through completion with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse styles. Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), 3D modeling (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D), rendering tools (V-Ray or similar), and Adobe Creative Suite for presentations and visualizations. Solid understanding of building information modeling (BIM) tools for efficient project coordination. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction detail documentation processes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Skilled in client communication—listening carefully to client needs and translating them into innovative design solutions. Knowledge of lighting design principles combined with experience in lighting sales or renovation projects is a plus. Ability to perform detailed drafting tasks accurately while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of project documentation. Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture or related field; professional certification such as NCIDQ or status as a registered designer in Florida and preferred but not required. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
