Job Description
Ovida Construction Group, Inc., a Commercial General Contractor, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. This position is best suited for someone who is organized, accountable, dependable, and proactive. Our Project Coordinators are an important part of the project management team, and we value individuals who take initiative, communicate effectively, follow through on responsibilities, and take pride in keeping their projects organized and moving forward in a fast- paced construction environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and other project team members throughout the construction process. Prepare, process, distribute, and track Subcontract Agreements, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and other project documentation. Apply for and coordinate various building permits and related documentation. Maintain organized and accurate project files, records, reports, and correspondence. Prepare Job Start Packets, Job start Materials, and temp utility account set up. Track and obtain required project closeout documentation from subcontractors and vendors. Follow up on outstanding project items and maintain accurate documentation of their status. Assist Project Managers and other departmental personnel with project coordination and administrative needs as required. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively. Comfortable communicating professionally with Clients, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other construction professionals. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be 18 years or older and have a High school diploma or equivalent Preferences Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Sage, Excel, Microsoft Teams etc.) Minimum 1 year of construction experience Schedule Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Project Coordinators may occasionally be required to begin earlier to attend jobsite meetings.
