In this role, you will serve as the on-site technical lead for installation, service, and troubleshooting projects — directing a crew of field technicians, ensuring work is completed to TEM System's quality standards, and acting as the primary point of accountability on the job site. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a seasoned professional who takes pride in their craft and communicates clearly with both their team and management. Career minded and LIVES in the South Florida region (Broward/Palm Beach). Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On-Site Leadership
- Serve as the lead technician and primary point of contact on all assigned job sites Direct, coordinate, and support a team of field technicians throughout each project phase Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with TEM System's quality and installation standards Communicate job site status, progress updates, and any issues or delays to the project manager in a timely manner Maintain a professional and productive work environment on-site at all times Technical Execution•Install, program, test, and commission vehicular gate systems, access control systems, camera solutions, and/or networking systems Vehicular Gates•swing operators, slide operators, barrier operators, inground loops, etc.
Access Control
- software, access panels, telephone entry units, proximity readers, RFID readers, barcode readers, magnetic locks, door strikes, egress devices, etc. Surveillance Cameras
- software, IP cameras, HD cameras, cabling, NVR/DVR head-ends, etc. Networking
- switches, wireless access points, wide area networks (WAN) & local area networks (LAN), etc.
Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications Ensure all low-voltage wiring, conduit runs, and device placement meet industry standards and local code requirements Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades on the job site as needed Perform service calls, diagnostics, and repairs on existing systems Documentation & Accountability
- Complete and submit daily field reports, time logs, and job site documentation accurately and on time Document as-built conditions, equipment serial numbers, and configuration settings upon project completion Maintain and account for company tools, vehicles, and equipment assigned to the crew Report material shortages, equipment issues, or scope changes to project management promptly
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum high school diploma with vocational training or equivalent military training.
Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience and working knowledge in low-voltage security integration (gate systems, access control, surveillance cameras, and/or networking) Demonstrated experience leading or supervising field crews on commercial or residential projects Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and technical documentation Familiarity with low voltage, ADA and life safety codes. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions and perform physical tasks including lift 75 lbs, climb ladder to heights at times exceeding 8 feet, Drive to customer sites within the assigned territory and, when needed, drive to customer sites in other territories to support other branch offices. Maintain an organized & clean company vehicle as well as manage inventory that is distributed to the company vehicle. Flexible schedule to achieve deadlines and able to work on-call rotation for weekends
