This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for project coordination, Agile delivery support, stakeholder communication, and risk management. The position requires experience supporting complex technical initiatives within a mission-driven environment, supporting multiple projects concurrently. Program Overview The CDC funded Public Health Data Modernization Implementation Center (IC) supports modernization of public health data exchange and interoperability for public health agencies.

None Responsibilities Build and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and tasks using Jira and approved documentation Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document notes, and track action items for internal and external teams Coordinate project documentation, including charters, deliverables, and meeting materials following established templates Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking; communicate potential blockers in a timely manner Collaborate with technical and business teams to align tasks, milestones, and deliverables Monitor quality and completeness of project outputs prior to submission or handoff Support Agile practices by coordinating backlog updates, milestones, and Jira hygiene Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons learned Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree At least four (4) years of full life cycle project management experience for complex technical initiatives Experience producing project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive briefings Managing multiple complex projects with all staff levels Hands-on experience engaging with and managing cross-discipline teams (Technical, Functional, SME) Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving requirements Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in multi-stakeholder environments Strong knowledge of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of public health systems, surveillance workflows, and local, state, or tribal public health environments Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or similar federal public health programs Experience overseeing AI-enabled tools, decision support, or automation in public health Exposure to DevSecOps, system modernization, or legacy system migration efforts
Compensation Salary Range:
$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
