Job Description

Project Manager Data Center / Mission Critical (Electrical & Construction)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium-to-large electrical and construction projects in data center and other mission-critical facilities. The Project Manager will be accountable for planning, executing, and delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires technical knowledge of electrical systems, strong construction management skills, and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in high-availability environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project delivery for data center and mission-critical electrical and construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Develop and maintain project plans, WBS, CPM schedules, cost forecasts, and change management documentation to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.

Coordinate, supervise, and communicate with internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and vendors to align expectations, resolve issues, and drive timely decision-making.

Oversee electrical scope: review designs, manage installations of power distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, grounding, and related systems to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.

Manage construction activities on-site, ensuring quality control, adherence to drawings and specifications, safety and regulatory compliance, and effective subcontractor performance.

Implement and enforce safety programs and quality management processes; conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Lead commissioning, testing, and turnover activities; coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth transition to steady-state operations with documented procedures and training.

Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues; develop contingency plans and track resolution status.

Prepare regular project reports, status updates, and presentations for senior management and clients; maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Mentor and guide junior project staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and best-practice adoption.

Qualifications5+ years of project management experience in electrical systems and construction; 3+ years specifically in data center or mission-critical facility projects preferred.

Proven experience managing full project lifecycle: planning, estimating, scheduling (MS Project or Primavera), procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Familiarity with power distribution equipment (UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators), grounding, and electrical code requirements applicable to mission-critical facilities.

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contract administration, subcontractor management, and quality control processes.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required and work flexible hours during critical phases.
