Job Description

Project Manager - Grading & Paving Construction General Description We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of grading and paving construction projects from start to finish. This individual will direct and manage daily field operations while coordinating closely with the Account Manager, material suppliers, haulers, subcontractors, and field crews. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a variety of project types, including:
  • New construction sitework
  • Municipal paving projects
  • Soil stabilization
  • Commercial and private paving
  • Operations utilizing GPS and laser-guided equipment This role ensures each project is completed according to the phasing plan and work order — Including proper management of man hours, trucking hours, material specifications, grading tolerances, compaction requirements, and finished thickness. --- Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of assigned grading and paving projects
  • Manage new construction, municipal paving, and soil stabilization operations
  • Oversee projects utilizing GPS and laser-guided grading equipment
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and elevations
  • Check grade, calculate slopes, and ensure ADA compliance
  • Conduct virtual pre-construction meetings with the Account Manager
  • Communicate daily production plans with the Foreman
  • Manage hauling operations and track man hours daily
  • Lead and document daily safety meetings focused on identifying site-specific hazards and implementing appropriate risk control measures.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the construction process
  • Measure project areas and calculate material quantities
  • Direct subcontractors to meet production and schedule goals
  • Complete Daily Job Forms (Labor, Equipment, Materials, Plant, Hauling)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
  • Perform final walkthrough and project sign-off Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in grading, paving, or site construction management
  • Experience managing new construction and municipal paving projects
  • Knowledge of soil stabilization processes
  • Experience working with GPS and laser-guided grading equipment
  • Strong understanding of asphalt production, trucking logistics, and material calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and civil plans
  • Experience checking elevations and calculating slope
  • Working knowledge of ADA requirements
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in daily reporting and job cost tracking
  • Valid driver's license required --- What We Offer

Job Type:
