Job Overview An Assistant Project Manager (APM) for a Commercial General Contractor supports the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of a construction project, from preconstruction through closeout. The role combines office management, field coordination, documentation, and communication. Duties Assisting with project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking Preparing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders Managing RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and shop drawings Coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers Tracking permits, inspections, and project documentation Monitoring project progress and helping resolve field issues Maintaining project files and preparing reports Assisting with monthly billing, pay applications, and lien waivers Supporting safety and quality control efforts Participating in project meetings and distributing meeting minutes Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (often preferred) 1-5 years of Commercial Construction Experience

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
