Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities Support the Project Manager in estimating and managing architectural and industrial specialty metal projects, including handrails, countertops, elevator cabs, wall panels, and related products. Assist in preparing and submitting project estimates for identified target markets. Follow up on submitted bids within 48 hours to confirm receipt and address any client questions; document feedback and maintain bid tracking logs. Coordinate with the shop team to support material needs and maintain clear, consistent communication regarding project requirements, timelines, and priorities. Assist in monitoring shop progress to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met. Help procure materials through approved vendors and track deliveries to ensure alignment with project schedules. Assist in coordinating equipment rentals or purchases as directed by the Project Manager. Work with CAD personnel to support the development and revision of shop drawings as required. Identify and communicate potential cost-saving opportunities to the Project Manager. Support contract and subcontract review processes, ensuring project requirements are understood and documentation is complete. Provide project updates and relevant information to accounting for invoicing and progress billing. Assist in tracking field productivity and maintaining project records. Participate in project turnover meetings and support coordination between office, shop, and field teams. Attend job meetings as needed to support project execution. Help ensure projects are properly scheduled and assist with weekly scheduling updates. Support the preparation and processing of change orders, including documentation and coordination with CAD when drawing updates are required. Maintain awareness of subcontractor scope of work and support oversight to ensure safety and efficiency standards are met. Promote and adhere to company safety standards and best practices. Assist in evaluating installation and production methods, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency. Communicate project updates and change requests to appropriate team members. Coordinate training needs with the Project Manager or leadership as required, ensuring relevance to job responsibilities. Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and company leadership regarding project status and needs. Sales Support Responsibilities Assist in business development efforts, including occasional outreach and lead tracking. Maintain records of client interactions and support follow-up with prospective customers. Contribute to achieving team sales goals through administrative and coordination support. Qualifications 1-5+ years of experience in construction project coordination, estimating, or related field (architectural/metal fabrication experience preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and basic CAD coordination is a plus. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow into a Project Manager role.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
