Job Description
Project Manager
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cash flow forecasts; track progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.
Coordinate and manage subcontractor bidding, selection, contracts, and performance; negotiate change orders and resolve disputes.
Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, safety regulations, and OSHPD requirements when applicable.
Lead project meetings with owners, design teams, inspectors, and subcontractors; provide regular status reports and risk assessments to stakeholders.
Oversee quality control and assurance programs, conduct site inspections, and ensure punch list items are completed before turnover.
Manage procurement of materials and equipment, review submittals, and maintain accurate project documentation and as-built records.
Mentor and supervise assistant project managers, superintendents, and project staff; foster a collaborative, safety-first culture.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 7 years experience managing commercial construction projects, including apartments and resort developments.
Proven track record as a Project Manager with responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality control.
Experience with OSHPD processes and documentation for healthcare or hospital projects is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex schedules.
Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
Relevant certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED AP) and strong references from prior commercial construction projects are a plus.
