Ua Hale Aʻela & Maui Recovery Ua Hale Aʻela is HCA's statewide rent‑to‑own, scattered‑site housing program supporting Native Hawaiian and local families on a pathway to long‑term housing stability and homeownership. Following the 2023 Lahaina wildfires, the program expanded on Maui through the Maui Strong recovery effort, addressing wildfire rebuild oversight and scattered‑site acquisition and renovation. Position Summary The Ua Hale Aʻela Maui Project Manager leads all Maui‑based development activities tied to the Maui Strong grant and Ua Hale Aʻela program, serving as the primary on‑the‑ground implementation lead responsible for timelines, quality, compliance, and culturally grounded communication. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Ua Hale Aʻela Associate Director. Key Responsibilities Maui Strong Wildfire Rebuild Oversight Lead project oversight for Lahaina homeowner rebuilds. Coordinate contractors, designers, insurers, and County agencies. Support families through rebuilding logistics and documentation. Ensure trauma‑informed and culturally respectful communication. Ensure compliance with Maui Strong grant and disaster recovery requirements. Scattered‑Site Acquisition & Renovation Manage renovation and readiness of scattered‑site acquisitions. Coordinate scopes of work, inspections, and schedules. Conduct site visits to ensure safety and habitability. Maintain construction documentation and budget tracking. Counselor, Property Management & Sales Coordination Collaborate with housing counselors on client readiness. Monitor property manager's performance and standards. Coordinate unit turnover, listings, disclosures, and closings. Track Maui sales and transition‑to‑ownership milestones. Grant Compliance & Documentation Maintain audit‑ready files for all projects. Prepare and submit Maui Strong and related grant reports. Ensure procurement and documentation comply with grant requirements. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in construction, project management, or housing development. Experience working with disaster‑impacted communities preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Preferred Qualifications Experience with scattered‑site or rent‑to‑own housing models. Knowledge of Hawaiʻi permitting and regulatory systems. Experience in mission‑driven or community‑based organizations.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:

$65,000 - $80,000 annually
