Alpha, Inc.
Civil - Senior Project Manager
Job Description
The Opportunity Alpha Inc. is looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Civil Division who knows that great project leadership isn't just about managing schedules, budgets, and contracts. It's about building the people who build the projects. This is not simply a bigger-project PM role. You'll be a division-level leader responsible for developing Project Managers, raising the standard of execution, and creating consistency across multiple complex civil construction projects. You'll help turn talented PMs into exceptional leaders — while making sure Alpha's projects perform where it matters: safety, quality, schedule, financial results, and client satisfaction. If you're looking for a role where you can hide behind spreadsheets and status reports, this probably isn't it. If you know how to coach people, solve hard problems, build scalable systems, hold a high bar, and bring field and office teams together , keep reading. About Alpha Inc. Alpha Inc. is a Hawai?i-grown company delivering heavy civil construction and infrastructure solutions that help build the future of our islands. Our work demands technical excellence, strong relationships, and leaders who take ownership. But how we win matters just as much as winning. Our three core values shape how we work and lead: Leading with Heart
- Build trust, lead with empathy and respect, and invest in the success and development of others. Strength in Unity
- Bring field operations, project management, estimating, safety, and leadership together. One team. Shared accountability. Shared success. Alpha Mentality
- Bring grit, integrity, ownership, and a relentless drive to improve.
You bring:
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of progressive Civil project management leadership experience , including direct supervision of Project Managers and oversight of multiple complex civil construction projects. A demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing Project Management teams. Proven experience implementing scalable systems, standardized processes, and operational improvements. Strong command of civil construction project management, including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, contracts, procurement, and risk management. Experience navigating performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, difficult conversations, and talent development. Strong strategic thinking, organizational planning, communication, and decision-making skills. The ability to influence and build credibility from the jobsite to senior leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software platforms. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between project sites and office locations as needed. The A-Player Test The strongest candidates for this role can point to a track record — not just responsibilities. We want to hear about the Project Managers you developed. The struggling project you helped turn around. The system you built that made the entire team better. The margin you protected. The difficult conversation you didn't avoid. The process you standardized. The client relationship you strengthened. Titles tell us where you worked. Results tell us how you operate. Why Alpha? Because you're ready to influence more than one project. You'll have the opportunity to shape people, systems, project execution, and the future capability of Alpha's Civil division — while working alongside leaders across Operations, Estimating, Safety, HR, and the executive team.
