Assistant Project Manager - Structural Steel Erection Position Overview We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the management of structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have construction experience and a strong interest in developing their career in structural steel project management. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with structural steel erection projects Help manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements Coordinate with field crews, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence Track material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and project progress Participate in project meetings and provide updates to the project team Assist with project closeout and final documentation Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination Qualifications 1-3 years of construction or project coordination experience Structural steel or steel erection experience preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Strong organizational and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office; construction software experience preferred Strong desire to grow into a Project Manager role Benefits Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive health benefits 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Long-term career advancement with a stable, growing contractor Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
