Deck Project Manager

Deck Crew Lead - Backyard Vinyl / Walcott, IA "Building decks, leading crews, and keeping everything level — literally" Are you the kind of person who can spot a crooked board from across the yard and fix it before anyone else notices? Do you like working with your hands but don't mind being the one people look to for direction? Good — Backyard Vinyl is looking for a Deck Crew Lead who knows how to build it right and lead a crew that does the same.

What You'll Be Doing:

Build decks from the ground up — framing, decking, railings, stairs, the whole package Lead your crew on-site and keep projects moving without cutting corners Measure twice, cut once… and then double-check it anyway Keep jobs on schedule and running smoothly (even when things get interesting) Make sure everything is up to code and built to last Fix issues before they become problems Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe Work with customers when needed — answer questions and keep things clear

What We're Looking For:

5+ years of deck-building or carpentry experience Someone who knows their way around tools, materials, and job sites Ability to read plans and actually follow them Leadership skills — you can run a crew without running it into the ground Strong attention to detail (you notice the little things, because they matter) Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites You don't have to be perfect, but you do take pride in doing things the right way
