Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and methodologies to lead a high?visibility implementation initiative. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, functional project experience, and strong leadership. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity that is hybrid to downtown Chicago.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end?to?end delivery of a PPM implementation (Planview, Clarity, or similar platforms), including planning, configuration oversight, testing, deployment, and adoption. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define scope, requirements, success metrics, and implementation strategy. Evaluate existing processes and identify missing or unclear requirements; proactively propose solutions and improvements. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and status reporting. Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and design reviews with functional and technical teams. Ensure alignment between business objectives and system capabilities; translate business needs into functional specifications. Drive change management activities, including training, documentation, and stakeholder readiness. Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate and resolve blockers quickly. Ensure compliance with PMO standards, governance, and reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hands?on experience with PPM tools such as Planview, Clarity, or equivalent platforms. Strong understanding of both technical and functional project lifecycles. Experience working within PMO frameworks, governance models, and structured delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

Pay rate:

85-95/hr W2
