Job Description Job Description Job Description The Assistant Project Manager (APM) at RWE Design Build supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role bridges office and field operations by managing documentation, assisting with schedules and budgets, and communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. The APM gains hands-on experience in all phases of project delivery while helping ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to maintain workflow. Help track project milestones and deliverables. Prepare and maintain project logs, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders. Ensure accurate record-keeping and document control throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. Track project costs and help prepare progress billings. Support management of change orders and budget adjustments. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. Help resolve day-to-day issues by coordinating between office and field teams. Ensure construction activities align with drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Support client communication and foster positive relationships. Participate in project meetings and follow up on action items. Requirements 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or project support. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Knowledge of construction methods, processes, and building codes. Proficiency in project management and construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a proactive, team-focused attitude.
