Responsibilities for Project Manager include but are not limited to:- Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
- Develop project plans, schedules, forecasts, and resource requirements.
- Lead project teams, facilitate meetings, and coordinate stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Review contract proposals, bids, and project documentation.
- Prepare and manage project financial forecasts, including monthly cash flows.
- Interpret civil construction plans and oversee field activities, including site visits.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates to leadership. Candidates for Project Manager must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Experience in utility, civil construction, or engineering projects, preferably utility relocation projects.
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and plans.
- Experience reviewing contractor bids and proposals.
- Strong financial forecasting and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
- Ability to travel throughout the West Suburban Illinois region for project site visits. What's in this Project Manager position for you?
