Mechanical Project Manager $140,000 - $170,000 per year Evansville, IN Full-time | Direct hire Prolink is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with an established heavy-equipment engineering organization in Evansville, Indiana. This position is for a mechanically strong project leader who can manage complex equipment projects from initial concept through design, installation, testing, and commissioning. You will own project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer communication while coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and field personnel. What You Will Do Manage mechanical projects from initial concept through completion Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and technical documentation Coordinate with mechanical/electrical designers, customers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities Review engineering plans for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and field installation requirements Conduct site assessments, gather technical requirements, and maintain customer relationships Oversee equipment installation, testing, startup, and commissioning Monitor project costs, schedules, risks, quality, and overall progress Identify potential issues and drive them through resolution Perform QA/QC reviews throughout the project lifecycle Provide technical guidance to project and field teams Report project progress to customers and company leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 5+ years of mechanical project management experience 3+ years of experience with mechanical hoisting equipment design and operation Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and components Experience managing project scope, scheduling, budgeting, costing, and documentation Proficiency with CAD, mechanical design tools, and project management software Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, codes, and regulations Knowledge of mining industry codes and regulations across multiple countries Understanding of environmental and sustainability practices in mechanical engineering Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications 5+ years supporting underground mining operations Experience with automation and control systems Professional Engineer license or other relevant certifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Compensation and Employment $140,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience Full-time, direct-hire employment Onsite position based in Evansville, Indiana Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. #
