ABOUT METRO PLASTICS TECHNOLOGIES
Metro Plastics Technologies is an industry leader in custom plastic injection molding. With over 50 years in business, Metro Plastics has extensive plastic production capabilities, engineering expertise, and a dedicated on-site tool room and metrology lab supporting operations in a newly built state-of-the-art facility in Noblesville, IN. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
PURPOSE:
The project manager coordinates the project's management duties. To guarantee that projects are finished to the highest standard, the project manager arranges both internal and external vendors and resources. The project manager oversees and performs functions concerning projects. Such tasks may include calling clients, partners, and vendors; making appointments; doing site visits; and preparing reports.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to meet the client's highest standards with the execution of projects and ensure customer satisfaction. 2. Capture Critical to Quality Characteristics from the customer, in conjunction with Quality and Engineering, to set projects up to succeed when they are introduced to production. 3. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. 4. Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all needed parties. 5. Ensure resources availability and allocation. 6. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. 7. Direct and Professional problem-solving communication with subcontractors and vendors to overcome roadblocks diplomatically. 8. Manage changes in the project scope, schedule, and costs. 9. Report and escalate to management as needed when problems occur and when issues or problems arise. 10. Reviews client's specifications for adherence to capabilities and with guidance- provide production alternatives when necessary. 11. Creates and updates project scopes for complex individual projects. 12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is desired. Technical or vocational school training in related fields of study. 3-5 years of work experience, previous experience in a manufacturing environment in a project management function. Experience within injection molding is a plus. Strong time management and project management capabilities. Highly organized, with the ability to multitask effectively.

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a manufacturing / office environment Employee will sit, stand, or walk most of their work hours Employee will routinely use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
