What Can You Expect Working in the Sr. Project Manager Position The Senior Project Manager is an integral member of a team that incorporates sales, design, project management, and manufacturing processes for custom fabricated, blast-resistant buildings. Typical responsibilities include review of project proposal to validate scope and costs, front-end design and engineering, coordination with sales, scheduling and planning to understand capacity and customer expectations of delivery, coordination with document control for state specific engineering and code requirements, risk mitigation and seamless customer communication throughout the process. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for accurate data that reflects status of project cost for labor and material, project kick-off meetings prior to execution, project close-out meetings, and meeting billing milestones. The Senior Project Manager will facilitate 10-15 projects in the $150,000 to $5M range utilizing industry standards for scope development and control and integrating with all manufacturing functional areas to accomplish organization objectives and deliver an on-time, high quality product. The role will have direct interface with outside sales, drafting, engineering, external vendors, third-party surveyors & regulatory bodies, procurement, manufacturing teams and logistics Responsibilities
- Reviews project proposals and customer contracts to confirm agreement in scope, schedule and budget.
- Maintains consistent communication, collaboration, and documentation for the projects team.
- Manages process to keep the project moving forward in a timely manner.
- Serves as the primary contact for internal and external customers.
- Establishes a plan for each project to outline responsibilities, timeline, and action items.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Evaluates designs for accuracy and changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Prepares interim and completion project reports for management, client, or others.
- Leads, mentors, and supports project teams, providing guidance and development opportunities. Requirements Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or a related field, and 6+ years of experience in project management, with proven track record of leading complex projects to successful completion or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with contracts, manufacturing/construction, estimating, and supply chain.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain the following: Passport, TWIC Card, DISA Card. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction management.
- Experience in designing and/or managing construction projects.
- General knowledge of applicable building codes.
