K Job Description :
Our client, a well-established construction management firm with a strong presence throughout the Northeast, is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role partners closely with the Lead Superintendent and Project Executive while leading project administration, procurement, financial management, scheduling, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management Manage projects from preconstruction through completion. Coordinate project schedules, procurement, document control, and subcontractor management. Plan ahead to resolve conflicts and maintain project momentum. Lead project turnover and closeout activities. Financial Management Execute project buyouts and subcontract negotiations. Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting. Lead change order management and pricing. Oversee owner requisitions and subcontractor payment processes. Drive overall project profitability. Client Team Leadership Build strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. Lead project meetings and communicate project updates. Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers. Foster collaboration across field and office teams. Safety Quality Promote a strong safety culture. Conduct regular job-site safety inspections. Support risk management and quality control initiatives.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in one or more of the following project types is highly desirable: Multifamily Residential Affordable Housing Senior Living Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
