APEX Integrations is a rapidly growing systems integrator specializing in fire alarm, integrated security, access control, video surveillance, telecommunications, fiber, intrusion detection, wireless locking systems, and service. As an Edwards/Kidde Commercial Authorized Reseller, APEX provides complete fire alarm solutions, including system design, installation, programming, testing, inspection, monitoring, and ongoing service. We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to help lead our expanding portfolio of commercial fire alarm projects. Position Summary The Fire Alarm Project Manager will oversee projects from initial turnover through final acceptance and closeout. This position is responsible for maintaining project schedules, controlling costs, coordinating manpower and materials, managing customer relationships, and ensuring all work complies with contract documents, applicable codes, and APEX quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, technically knowledgeable, and comfortable managing multiple projects in an active construction environment. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple commercial fire alarm projects from award through final closeout. Review contracts, scopes of work, estimates, specifications, drawings, and project schedules. Develop project budgets, labor forecasts, procurement schedules, and overall execution plans. Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, programmers, testing personnel, and material deliveries. Work closely with general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, owners, facility personnel, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction. Monitor project costs, labor productivity, billing progress, gross margin, and overall profitability. Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, schedules of values, and project documentation. Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, scheduling issues, and potential change-order opportunities. Ensure long-lead materials and equipment are released and delivered on schedule. Lead project meetings and provide clear updates to customers and APEX management. Coordinate system programming, testing, inspections, owner training, and final acceptance. Ensure installations comply with NFPA 72, applicable building and electrical codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements. Maintain accurate as-built drawings, testing records, closeout documents, warranties, and system information. Coordinate the transfer of completed projects to the APEX Service Department for warranty and ongoing support. Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, communication, and customer service. Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in fire alarm construction, project management, supervision, or a related position. Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and installation practices. Experience managing project budgets, labor, schedules, billing, change orders, and subcontractors. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, riser diagrams, sequence-of-operations documents, and fire alarm submittals. Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable electrical, building, and life-safety codes. Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project-management software. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites throughout the region. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Edwards EST3, EST4, and EST4 Edge systems. Experience with Kidde VM, VS, and Evolve fire alarm systems. Fire alarm programming, commissioning, testing, or design experience. NICET Level II, III, or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems. Massachusetts Systems Technician or Systems Contractor license. OSHA 30 certification. Experience managing large commercial, multi-residential, healthcare, hospitality, municipal, educational, or multi-building fire alarm projects. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
