We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Stoughton, MA team. Job description:
The Project Manager will oversee the building and installation process on site at customer locations. Direct and supervise workers and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with the Construction Safety Manuals, OSHA standards and common worksite safety practices. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. Interpret and explain plans and direct the work as needed on site, ensuring design specifications are being followed. Self perform (when required) and oversee labor as needed to complete the work. Be the point person on site for owner contact on a day to day basis. Properly document the progress of the project, through daily photos and project logs. Maintain frequent communication with the office of job progress, upcoming project milestones. Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers / sub-contractors to construction sites. Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects and maintain inventory management. Take part in staff scheduling correspondence as needed. Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site. Confer with office personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of construction standards and practices Strong ability to lead multiple crews Bilingual is a major plus, but not required Excellent communication skills Highly organized A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the building / construction industry Computer proficiency Inventory management / material handling OSHA certification
