About the Role SZ PM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Review Project Engineer to support infrastructure design review and coordination activities. The position is focused on design review workflow management, document control, project tracking, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will manage the intake and routing of design submittals, coordinate interdisciplinary reviews, maintain project records, track comments and approvals, and help ensure multiple concurrent design reviews remain on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience in construction management coordination, document control, design review coordination, or project support and is comfortable working with technical teams and reviewing civil and infrastructure design documents. Responsibilities Organize, track, and manage the intake, routing, and distribution of design plans, technical specifications, and supporting documents throughout multiple stages of review. Coordinate interdisciplinary design reviews and ensure submittals are routed to the appropriate technical reviewers. Serve as an administrative point of contact between engineers, construction managers, contractors, utility representatives, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate and track comments, responses, approvals, and review schedules. Monitor multiple concurrent design review workflows and maintain established review timelines. Maintain comprehensive records of plan revisions, administrative markups, comment-response matrices, meeting minutes, correspondence, and transmittals. Facilitate and lead coordination meetings as assigned and follow up on outstanding action items. Identify workflow bottlenecks and escalate delays to appropriate project or technical leads. Develop and maintain structured tracking tools to monitor project status, outstanding reviews, and pending approvals. Support continuous improvement of administrative and document-control processes. Perform additional project coordination and support assignments as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 3 years of full-time professional experience in construction management coordination, document control, project support, design review coordination, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and navigate civil, utility, and infrastructure design drawings for document completeness and proper routing. Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Hands-on experience with Point for document control, file organization, and records management. Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF markup and review tools. Preferred Skills Experience with Oracle Unifier or similar project management/document control platforms. Familiarity with Power BI or Excel dashboards for project status tracking, workflow monitoring, and reporting. Experience supporting infrastructure, transportation, utility, or other public works projects.
