Visit our website to check out our extensive portfolio: http://www.fallstonsupply.com/portfolio.html Job Description Our Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in keeping assigned projects on schedule, on scope, and on budget from kick-off through installation. This role coordinates daily with Engineering/Drafting, Procurement, the Shop, and General Contractors to keep scope packages, submittals, and materials moving without delay. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces across several active projects at once. Responsibilities Issue scope packages to Engineering/Drafting following project kick-off and track them through to completed drawing/BOM packages Track submittal status against the project schedule and escalate delays before they impact fabrication or field release Maintain a current submittal log and ensure Shop, Field, and Procurement are always working from the most up-to-date drawings and specs Write clear, accurate work orders for the Shop and Procurement Confirm material, drawing, and manpower readiness ahead of scheduled release and fabrication Flag discrepancies between drawings and field conditions before fabrication begins Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential change orders, and bring them to the Project Manager Keep job budgets/forecasts current for Project Manager review Maintain proactive communication with GCs, Owners, and Architects — including weekly follow-up on outstanding approvals, submittals, and RFIs Catch and escalate discrepancies, scope gaps, and coordination issues early, before they affect schedule or margin Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in project coordination, construction, millwork, or a related field Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with Procore or similar project management software preferred Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple departments (Engineering, Shop, Procurement, Field) Ability to pass a drug test and security background screen Work Location Employees must be able to commute to the company building at 1654 Robin Circle Forest Hill, MD 21050 Occasional travel to jobsites throughout Maryland, Delaware, DC, and Virginia Job Type and Schedule Full Time, Salaried Monday-Friday, standard business hours Occasional flexibility for jobsite visits or deadlines as needed
